Shopping in Phuket can be a great experience and you will probably be able to find most of what you are looking for.
Many of the more popular beaches have the classic tourist shopping and with that I mean the copy t-shirts, shorts, bags and so on. The range of products varies from beach to beach but Kata, Karon have a good range of products while Patong has the far best. You will be able to find a lot more than just the regular items on all these places but if you are looking for real brands or other things such as electronics you better head somewhere else. Here you can read about some of the most popular places that I recommend.

Jungceylon
This shopping mall is set in the center of Patong and it is very easy to find. Going on the one way street Rat-U-Thit 200 Pee Road, which is only possible southbound you will have Jungceylon on your left side only a few hundred meters after Soi Bangla which is to the right.
Jungceylon is a complex of two main houses with a square area between with restaurants. You will find stores with swimwear, sportswear, watches, electronics, souvenirs, books and almost anything you can think of. You can also enjoy a movie at the cinema or some bowling at the top floor.
One part called Robbinson is the right place to head to for you brand shopping. Here you find many of the big brands. Some brands do also have their own stores in the other building.
If you are shopping for perfumes I strongly recommend you to do that at the airport if you are heading via Bangkok. The prices are usually a lot better even with the discounts you might get here.
Jungceylon also offer many good restaurants, one of my favorites as a sushi freak is Fuji where you can get good sushi and in relation to the price it cannot be better.

Central Festival
This complex is set just in the outskirts of Phuket Town. It is a multi-storey building filled with mostly small stores with brand clothes, shoes, watches, jewelry and also a food court and a cinema area. Compared to the above mentioned Jungceylon I don’t think this is even close, but it might have just the stores you are looking for, who knows.

Robinson
Robinson have one store at Jungceylon in Patong which you can read about above and they also have one in Phuket Town right in the corner of Tilok Uthit 1 Road and Ong Sim Phai Road. This store have designer clothes, jewelry, souvenirs, electronics and a lot more.

Phuket Premium Outlet
This outdoor village-like outlet area is found close to Phuket Town. If going on the road where Central Festival, Index, Big C and Tesco Lotus are located and coming from Central Festival towards Tesco you keep straight forward in the intersection just after Tesco that will be at your right side. Keep going straight on for a while and you will see it on the right side.
Here you can find brand names with a 10%-70% discount.

Ocean
The Ocean shopping mall is found in Phuket Town not far from the Robinson store in the corner of Tilok Uthit 1 Road and Ong Sim Phai Road. At this mall you will find products for lower prices than for example in Robinson. They mostly have clothes of all kinds but also mobile, CD and food stores. A big cinema is also found along with bowling.

Expo Market
This is an indoor market at Tilok Uthit 2 Road which is open seven days a week. This is a good place to do some clothes shopping to very good prices. If you are planning to do some serious shopping at any beach destination I recommend you to come here as well.

Phuket Town Market and more…
There are many smaller stores and malls to explore all over Phuket Town. At Saturdays and Sundays the big market takes place at Wai-Rat-Hong-Yuk Road opposite to the Wat Naka temple. At the market you will find clothes, CDs, handicrafts, toys, and a lot more. It is a quiet big market that open in the afternoon and closes about 10 pm.

Markets in general
There are many markets taking place on Phuket. These markets do offer some interesting shopping with clothes, shoes, food and gadgets. If you don’t know where to find the market at your destination just ask anyone and they probably be happy to help. Many people find the Thai markets very interesting and most markets aren’t open everyday therefor you should not wait to long to find out when the markets close top you are open. If you do you might miss that opportunity.
