    1. Strong stuff, both in the subjects and the prose You kind of just want to sit afterwards and breath, turn it over in your mind I have a feeling this is one that will linger for a while, some images that wouldn t fade easily even if you d want them to Urgent, definitely words that need to be read.

    2. Helmsleys work encompasses everything I adore in any art form Mainly, CONTRAST I want snippets of Glittery Beauty in my Ugliness I want Flowers in my Garbage and Garbage in my Flowers I want sex and death, hellbound spiritual journey s etc And most of all BRUTAL HONESTY All of this we can expect when we enter Fiona s venue I waited along time for this collection having been an avid follower of the Author s work for many yearsI am awestruck of her many attribute s is no matter what you are reading [...]

    3. I ve been a fan of Fiona s writing for a long time This collection is some of her greatest work Funny, heartbreaking, honest, raw stories that are written in an almost confessional manner that feels like Fiona is speaking directly to you I think everyone should read this book at least once, maybe twice.

    4. There are many writers whom I admire, but very few whose writing skills I covet Fiona s that girl I curse and adore her, and ask aloud how the hell did you do that as I read her work, rich in love and drugs and tragedy and humiliation and redemption Puma Perl, author of Knuckle Tattoos and Belinda and Her Friends Fiona Helmsley writes as if Jesus Son packed his knapsack and relocated to the city of Lou Reed and Jim Carroll as a young woman coming of age My Body Would be the Kindest of Strangers [...]

    5. This is a book about survival This is a book about being human This is a book I would like to put into the hands of people as they board a train to nowhere, so they could go somewhere Well done, Fiona Helmsley Well done.
